Venice Museum Pass

Venice Museum Pass

Venice has two main pass options for museum visitors: the MUVE Museum Pass, which covers all 13 civic museums including the Doge's Palace and the Glass Museum on Murano, and the Chorus Pass, which unlocks 15–16 historic churches containing major works by Titian, Bellini, and Tintoretto. This page covers what each pass includes, how they're priced, when they're worth buying, and where to get them.

Common questions

FAQs

Is the Venice Museum Pass worth buying?

Yes, from the second civic museum onward. The Doge's Palace alone costs €25–€30 at the door; add Ca' Rezzonico or the Correr Museum (~€10–€12 each) and you've already matched the €40 pass price. If you also plan to visit the Glass Museum on Murano or the Lace Museum on Burano – both included – the saving is clear. Day-trippers or anyone visiting only one venue should skip it and pay individually.

What's the difference between the Museum Pass and the Chorus Pass?

The MUVE Museum Pass (€40) covers Venice's 13 civic museums – the Doge's Palace, Ca' Rezzonico, Ca' Pesaro, and the island museums on Murano and Burano. The Chorus Pass (€16) covers 15–16 historic churches, including the Frari and Madonna dell'Orto, which hold major Titian, Bellini, and Tintoretto works. The two passes don't overlap and can be bought separately or together. Neither covers the Accademia or the Guggenheim.

Where can I buy the Venice Museum Pass?

Buy the MUVE Museum Pass online or before you arrive – this is the simplest option. You can also buy it at the ticket office of any participating museum on the day, including the Doge's Palace, Ca' Rezzonico, and Ca' Pesaro. The Chorus Pass is available or at the entrance of any Chorus church. Note that Museum Pass holders can only enter the Doge's Palace after 12:00 noon.
