Common questions
FAQs
Is the Valencia Tourist Card worth it?
It is worth it if you are using public transport at least three times a day and visiting two or three paid venues. At €25 for 72 hours, the transport savings alone can justify the cost versus buying SUMA 10 top-up cards. It is less compelling if you are staying in the historic centre and plan to walk everywhere – many included museums (Museo de Bellas Artes, La Lonja on Sundays) are free without a card. The 72h combo bundle (card + Oceanogràfic + Science Museum + Hemisfèric, from €69.98) is the best-value option if those three venues are in your itinerary.
Does the Valencia City Card include the Oceanogràfic?
Not with a standard card. The Oceanogràfic (€33.70 adult, Europe's largest aquarium) is one of the most popular attractions in Valencia but is only 10% discounted with the Tourist Card – not free. To get effectively 'free' access, you need the 72h combo bundle, which starts at €69.98 and includes the Oceanogràfic, Museu de les Ciències, and Hemisfèric alongside the card. If you plan to visit all three, the bundle works out significantly cheaper than buying everything separately.
How does the Valencia Tourist Card compare to buying tickets individually?
For transport-heavy trips, the card wins easily – three metro/tram journeys per day at €1.50 each adds up to €4.50 daily, versus €25 for 72 hours of unlimited travel. For museum access, the case is weaker: the Museo de Bellas Artes is permanently free, La Lonja is free on Sundays, and individual entry to towers and monuments is €2–€9. The card pays off when you combine transport use with visits to three or four paid venues in 48–72 hours. Buy online for around 10% off.
