Rotterdam City Pass
One pass. Unlimited city.
Rotterdam has two city pass options worth knowing about: the Rotterdam City Card, an official digital pass with unlimited RET public transport and discounts at 50+ attractions, and the Holland Pass, a multi-city voucher covering Rotterdam alongside Amsterdam and The Hague. This page covers what each pass includes, how the pricing stacks up, and which one suits your trip.

Common questions
FAQs
Is the Rotterdam City Card worth it?
For a two-to-three day visit with four or more paid attractions, yes. A 1-day RET transit pass costs €12; the City Card costs €15 and adds 50+ attraction discounts on top. Visit the Depot Boijmans (save €5), Kunsthal (save ~€4.75), and a Spido harbour cruise (save an estimated €4–5) and you've covered the card's cost in discounts alone – with transport included. It's less good value if you're only visiting one or two paid sights, or if you're mainly walking and cycling.
Does the Rotterdam City Card include public transport?
Yes, the Rotterdam City Card includes unlimited travel on all RET tram, bus, and metro lines (A–E) for the duration you choose. Transport runs from card activation until the end of RET service on each calendar day – it is not a rolling 24- or 48-hour window. Note that NS trains to other Dutch cities are not included, and neither are water taxis or the Waterbus. If you're travelling to Amsterdam or The Hague by train, you'll need a separate NS ticket.
Where do I buy the Rotterdam City Card?
Buy it at citycard.rotterdam.info, at the Rotterdam Tourist Information desk in the main hall of Rotterdam Centraal station, or at the Hoek van Holland Tourist Info point. The card is fully digital – you get a QR code in the app, with no physical card issued. It's available in one-, two-, and three-day durations. If you only want attraction discounts without transport, a three-day card without RET costs €10. Activate it when you're ready to start, not when you buy.
