Everything in the pass
What's included
Paseo del Arte Card
Covers the Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza, and Reina Sofía for €32.80 – valid for one year from purchase. Each museum can be visited once, on separate days if you prefer.
Pasaporte de Museos
Five of Madrid's smaller national museums for €12, valid for 10 consecutive days. Includes the Cerralbo, Lázaro Galdiano, Museum of Romanticism, and National Museum of Decorative Arts.
One-year flexibility
The Paseo del Arte Card is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. You don't need to use all three museums in one trip – spread them across multiple visits.
Guernica and the Golden Triangle
All three Paseo del Arte museums sit within a 15-minute walk of each other on the Paseo del Prado. The pass gives you entry to Picasso's Guernica at the Reina Sofía and Velázquez's Las Meninas at the Prado.
What's not included
The Royal Palace, Bernabéu Stadium tour, and Sorolla Museum are not covered by either pass. Note: the Sorolla Museum is currently closed for renovation and may still be partially closed in 2026 – check before visiting.
Where to buy
Buy the Paseo del Arte Card online or – digital QR code, no printing needed. The Pasaporte de Museos is available at any of its five member museum ticket offices.
Common questions
FAQs
Is the Paseo del Arte Card worth it in Madrid?
It depends on how many of the three museums you plan to visit. The pass costs €32.80; individual tickets add up to roughly €40 (Prado €15, Thyssen €13, Reina Sofía €12). If you visit all three, you save around €7 and get the convenience of one purchase. If you're only visiting two, it doesn't pay off – buy separately. Under-18s enter all three free and don't need the pass.
What is the difference between the Paseo del Arte Card and the Pasaporte de Museos?
The Paseo del Arte Card (€32.80) covers Madrid's three flagship art museums – the Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza, and Reina Sofía – and is valid for one year. The Pasaporte de Museos (€12) covers five smaller national house-museums including the Cerralbo and Lázaro Galdiano, valid for 10 days. They complement each other well but serve different types of visitor: the Paseo del Arte is for the Golden Triangle, the Pasaporte for Madrid's quieter, overlooked collections.
Where can I buy the Madrid museum pass?
The Paseo del Arte Card is cheapest bought direct or – you'll receive a digital QR code immediately. It's also sold at the ticket desk of any of the three included museums. Third-party platforms like Tiqets tend to add a margin, so go direct if you can. The Pasaporte de Museos must be bought in person at one of its five member museum ticket offices.
