Barcelona City Pass

One pass. Unlimited city.

Barcelona has two city pass options worth considering: the official Barcelona Card (3–5 days, free museum entry and unlimited transport) and the Go City Barcelona Explorer Pass (choose two to seven attractions from a fixed list, including Sagrada Família). This page covers what each one includes, how they're priced, and which makes sense for your trip.

Common questions

FAQs

Is the Barcelona Card worth the money?

It depends on how you travel. The 4-day card costs €67 and pays off if you use the metro three or more times daily and visit two or more included museums. A T-Casual (10 metro journeys, €13) plus individual Picasso Museum (€15) and Miró (€13) entry already reaches €41 – add MNAC (€12) and you're at €53, with the card costing €14 more but covering unlimited transport for four days. For transport-heavy, museum-focused visitors, it earns back its price comfortably.

Does the Barcelona Card include Sagrada Família?

No. Sagrada Família is excluded from the Barcelona Card, the Articket BCN, and most city passes. You must book separately – entry runs from €26 to €40 depending on what tower and tour options you add. Tickets are nominative (photo ID required), sell out weeks ahead in peak season, and cannot be transferred. The only bundled pass that includes Sagrada Família is the Go City Explorer Pass, starting at €125 for two attractions.

Which Barcelona pass is best for a short break?

For a three or four-day trip focused on museums and daily metro use, the Barcelona Card is the stronger choice: unlimited transport and free entry to 25+ venues including MNAC, Miró, and MUHBA. If Sagrada Família is your priority and you're comfortable booking other things individually, buy Sagrada Família directly (€26–€40) and use a T-Casual (€13) for transport – you'll almost certainly spend less than any bundled pass. The Go City Explorer Pass only makes financial sense at four or more selections.
