Common questions
FAQs
Is the I Amsterdam City Card worth it?
The I Amsterdam city pass is worth it for a 3 day trip. The 72-hour card (€115) includes: the Rijksmuseum (€24), NEMO (€21.50), A'DAM Lookout (€16.50), a canal cruise (around €18), and three days of GVB transport (around €28.50), adding up to roughly €108.50 for those five items alone. With the city pass you can also access Artis Zoo, Moco Museum, EYE Film Museum, and the bicycle rental all in one package.
I Amsterdam Card vs Go City: which should I choose?
Choose the I Amsterdam City Card if you want museums, public transport, and a canal cruise in one card, it provides you with more cultural insight. Choose Go City if the Heineken Experience, Madame Tussauds, or Amsterdam Dungeon are more aligned with you, or if you're travelling with teenagers who'll skip the Stedelijk. Note that Go City does not include public transport, so factor in an extra €9–10 per day as additional travel budget.
What isn’t included in the Amsterdam City Pass?
No - the Anne Frank House is excluded from every Amsterdam pass without exception, including the I Amsterdam City Card and Go City. The Van Gogh Museum (€25) is also excluded from all passes and requires a separate booking
